2 Unrelated Items

Ok so first..it snowed on Friday at work (thanks for waiting till after we go back thru O'hare). And I took this picture from our 4th floor offices:

And speaking of O'hare...We were waiting (FOREVER) for the parking bus to pick us up (which it never did and there was this sign, that kind of made Cas and I laugh...though it could have been the crazy cold and flip-flops (I was excited to go to California). But just so you know, they offer alllllll sorts of special services at O'Hare:

Been a While...

Sorry. I've been busy...or something. I don't know. Let me introduce you to my new friend. His name is Fred.

I call him Fred the pheasant. He works in the cubicle next to mine. If you look closely he has ears. The guy who shares the cube with him talks on his phone very loudly all day. I think it hurts Fred's ears. Poor Fred.

Last weekend...

So not yesterday, but last weekend, Cas and I went down to the lake and downtown and I took a couple pictures with my phone...So pretty...yet weird. As someone who has lived her entire life near the coast, it is so odd to be so close to such a large body of water and NOT have it smell like the fresh salty air of the ocean. A smell I can't even describe. but as we stood right on the pier by the lake it was surprisingly absent. Beautiful, but a little sad...

heehee....it was also VERY WINDY AND VERY COLD...

oh, and it is supposed to snow again tomorrow...
